On September 8, UNESCO marks the 60th Anniversary of International Literacy Day! This year’s theme is “Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity” to highlight literacy as a way to improve livelihoods and economic security. Strong literacy skills mean better opportunities for people to achieve their goals and prosper in an increasingly challenging world.

- Volunteer as a literacy tutor.
- Make a donation to a literacy organization.
