Virtual Library

The YLC library is named the “Freda Hudson Reading Room” in honour of a remarkable volunteer who made a significant contribution to literacy.

Freda Hudson was a pioneer in the publishing industry of Canadian-content literacy materials. Our library includes materials she wrote, edited and published. Freda  was a tutor and a director of YLC. She helped her student write “A Rose of Courage”, the story of her mother’s life, which can be borrowed from our library. You can search all of the materials in the Freda Hudson Reading Room virtually.
